Ridge Bone Grafting Procedures
Major and Minor Bone Grafting
After an extraction, the bone that supported the tooth gradually reabsorbs and melts away. This process is called bone atrophy. If too much time goes by, the remaining bone may not be suitable in either quantity or quality for placement of a Dental Implant.
We now have the ability to graft and grow bone where needed. This not only gives us the opportunity to place implants of proper length and width, it also gives us a chance to restore function and the aesthetic appearance. The bone graft procedures are referred to as Alveolar Ridge Bone Augmentation.
